The MA in Multilingualism at the University of Konstanz is a research-oriented programme that integrates cutting-edge approaches from linguistics and multilingualism. The programme provides comprehensive training in psycholinguistic, neurolinguistic, and sociolinguistic perspectives on multilingualism, alongside solid grounding in research design, statistics, and experimental methods. Applicants must provide documentation of advanced English language proficiency at CEFR C1 level. Accepted proofs include IELTS, TOEFL, or equivalent certifications, or a Bachelor's degree taught in English. For the double-degree option, French language proficiency at CEFR B2 level must also be documented.

Academic Admission
Applicants must hold an above-average Bachelor's degree (German grade 2.5 or better) in Linguistics, Education, Psychology, Speech and Language Therapy, Cognitive Science, or a closely related discipline. Since the programme has a strong linguistics component, prior knowledge in linguistics is required. Students in the final year of their Bachelor's studies may apply. Applicants must submit a motivation/application letter demonstrating suitability for the programme. For the double-degree option with Université Bordeaux Montaigne, additional proof of French language proficiency (CEFR B2) is required.
APS Certificate
An APS certificate is required for applicants who have completed their qualifying education in India, China, or Vietnam.
IELTS Score
IELTS accepted as proof of English at CEFR C1 level (not mandatory if equivalent proof is provided)
