When Rudolf Diesel himself was a student of engineering, he developed the first functional diesel engine based on the theoretical findings of his studies. Our Bachelor's degree programme in International Mechanical Engineering is aimed at technically-oriented international students who are interested in studying classical mechanical engineering in English in Germany. It is completed over seven semesters and is characterised by a high degree of practical relevance. Many modules offer practical exercises through exciting "hands on" projects in our modern laboratories. German language level A2 is a pre-requisite for this degree programme. Accepted certificates of German language proficiency are as follows: Goethe telc ÖSD DSDI Applicants whose native language is not English are required to provide evidence of sufficient English proficiency in spoken and written language, using the certificates recognised by OTH Regensburg. At least level B1 should be demonstrated under the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. However, level B2 is strongly recommended to keep up with the tempo of the course. Accepted certificates of English language proficiency are as follows: IELTS certificate TOEFL certificate Cambridge Certificate, level B1 telc, level B1 PTE Pearson Academic Test certificate, level B1 Secondary or academic education completed in English (proof by means of a transcript of records or, if the language of instruction is not stated in the certificate, a "Medium of Instruction" certificate)
