Program Overview
The three-semester (90 ECTS), full-time English-taught programme provides you with an in-depth understanding of the principles and practices of international finance and economics. It offers both practical and international experience and prepares students for a wide range of career opportunities, e.g. in the global financial industry. The accredited Master's programme is tailored for graduates wishing to obtain a strong specialisation in International Finance and Economics. The Master's in International Finance and Economics consists of seven mandatory modules , five elective modules, and the Master's thesis . Mandatory modules: Module: Fundamentals of Financial Management (International Financial Accounting, Intermediate Microeconomics) Module: Corporate Valuation and Value-Based Management Module: International Capital Markets Module: Global Financial Institutions and Investment Banking Module: Applied Quantitative Methods Module: International Economics Module: Applied International Research Project A specialisation in one of the fields - finance or economics - is possible by selecting respective elective modules. A student can, for instance, choose anywhere from 6 to a maximum of 24 ECTS in finance electives in addition to the compulsory modules. The same is possible for a specialisation in economics. Double degree options: We offer a double degree opportunity with Nord University (Norway). Students of the Ohm's Master's in International Finance and Economics (M-IFE) can earn an additional Master of Business degree with a major in Finance and Investments (MSc, 120 ECTS), awarded by Nord University in Norway, within two years.
