Program Overview
International Business Management is a Business Administration study programme with a strong international and intercultural focus. It combines theory and practice by providing broad business administration skills. The language of tuition is English. Furthermore, international students learn German as second foreign language as part of their studies. The study programme is divided into two parts: From the first to the third semester, students learn the fundamentals of the following disciplines: Business Administration; Economics; Business Law; Social Sciences; Quantitative Methods and Information Technology; Management Skills; second foreign language In the main part of the study programme (semester four to eight), students can choose out of the following specialisations: Marketing and/or Finance and Accounting and/or Human Resource Management & Organisational Design / Global Supply Chain & Operations Management Within the core area, students deepen their knowledge, especially in the field of Business Administration. Furthermore, students participate in management issues courses, enhance their skills in the second foreign language, and receive intercultural competencies.

Excellent English language proficiency, equivalent to at least level B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages: TOEFL: IBT min. 72 points, PBT 543 points IELTS: min. 5.5 points TOEIC: min. 785 points CPE: all levels CAE: all levels FCE: min. level C BEC Higher: level C 1 Applicants must fulfil the above requirements or all tests submitted must have a score equivalent to at least level B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). The following are accepted as equivalents: "Englisch-Leistungskurs" before graduation (with a minimum average of 2.0 (= 10 points German grade)) Minimum of one-year stay at an English-speaking school, university, or another institution with English as the language of tuition. Basic skills in German required, minimum level A2 of the CEFR. International applicants (whose mother tongue is not German) must choose German as their second language. For applicants with a German school leaving certificate or German native speakers: basic knowledge of an additional language (French or Spanish) All tests are accepted which correspond to at least level A2 of the CEFR.
