Innovative Textiles (BEng)

The Bachelor's programme in Innovative Textiles targets students who have completed two semesters of basic studies at a foreign university. The programme has an interdisciplinary curriculum drawing on diverse science and engineering principles. The main subjects of the programme, which include extensive laboratory exercises, are complemented with appropriate electives to provide a broad base of fundamental engineering courses leading up to two specialisation options. Participation in laboratory work is an integral part of the study programme. Students develop a unique background which allows them to pursue undergraduate research, internship experiences, and design projects. All classes are small, and personal attention from faculty is guaranteed. Lectures and laboratory exercises take place in Hof and on the Münchberg campus, a traditional centre for textiles for over 150 years.
