Global Supply Chain and Operations Management
HWR Berlin (Berlin School of Economics and Law)
Program Overview
The MA in Global Supply Chain and Operations Management (G-SCOM) is designed for graduates from Germany and abroad who have completed a career-oriented first degree (usually a Bachelor's or "Diplom") and would like to study a post-graduate programme in an international group of students. Excellence in supply chain and operations management becomes one the most important success factors for companies. This requires a new kind of leader to manage complexity, risks, and diversity in global supply chains and operations. The MA in Global Supply Chain and Operations Management programme prepares you to be one of those leaders. Three pillars build the programme framework: practical orientation and creation of working knowledge, research focus in the final stage of the programme with a research seminar and Master's thesis, and personal developments of students with the advancing of their communication, interaction, and organisational skills. Some of the advantages of studying global supply chain and operations management at HWR are as follows: practice-oriented learning, interactive learning experience, international environment, combination of lectures, case-studies, business simulation with the use of commercial software, and vital exchange with the world of supply chain management and operations by means of guest lectures, company visits, and research projects in manufacturing and services. HWR means learning in an international and multi-cultural atmosphere. Our students and professors come from all over the world; all our courses are held in English. The programme curriculum addresses the issues supply chain and operations managers are facing today and in the near future. Courses are predominantly structured as interactive seminars and taught in English.
