Program Overview
General Description At the intersection between science and practice, qualified professionals with different skills are needed, especially to put the conceptual development, planning and dissemination of physical activity, training, and other lifestyle processes (e.g. sleep, nutrition) into practice. The development, implementation, and evaluation of exercise and training to maintain and improve performance and health are important international research topics in different populations – from sedentary individuals to (high) performance athletes. The aim of this Master's programme is to qualify graduate students to design, implement, and evaluate (advanced) evidence-informed frameworks for different target groups and individuals to regain, improve or maintain health or performance. Target Group The Master's programme in "Exercise Science & Training" (MSc) aims at individuals who have a strong affinity to the interface between science and evidence-informed exercise practice in different populations. Students should have a special interest in scientific work as well as in training practice and lifestyle factors related to health (e.g. physical activity, nutrition, sleep), fitness and/or competitive sports. Qualifications The aim of the Master's programme is to provide the following: (1) students with in-depth knowledge of current models, theories, and methods in the context of sports and exercise science (2) skills to structure and critically assess methods and technologies to design, implement, and evaluate training and lifestyle frameworks/concepts related to performance and health

English language skills of level B2 are required. These skills can be proven by: Native language (If English is your native language.) High school and/or university degree studied and passed in an English-speaking country An accepted certificate with a score corresponding to the B2 level. (Accepted certificates are TOEFL [iBT: 72], Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English [Category: FCS], IELTS [score: 5.5]) A “good” final grade in English in the German “Abitur” (equal to at least 10 of 15 points; level: E-course)

Academic Admission
A Bachelor's degree (acquisition of 180 ECTS credits) or a state examination Applicants are required to have competencies from modules related to sports and/or sports science or movement science totalling at least 40 ECTS . To enable an uninterrupted transition from the Bachelor's to the Master's degree, 30 ECTS suffice when the Bachelor's degree is close to completion before the application deadline. English language skills at level B2 (see below)

An APS certificate is required for applicants who have completed their qualifying education in India, China, or Vietnam.
