Program Overview
The Biomedical Neuroscience programme is an interdisciplinary course of study, executed by lecturers from both natural science institutes and clinicians and clinical scientists. The aim of the programme is to provide an in-depth education in basic neuroscience and neuropsychiatric diseases, covering both theoretical foundations and practical technical skills required for commonly used experimental methods in basic and clinical research. Teaching is a blend of theoretical instruction and hands-on classes, incorporating project-oriented scientific work in the laboratories of participating institutes. In addition to core neuroscience topics, the curriculum also includes training in data analysis, scientific ethics, management, and communication. The qualification profile of the graduates includes a deep understanding of brain function and structure, from molecules and cells to large-scale circuits, behaviour, and the mechanisms and treatment strategies of different neuropsychiatric diseases. Through lab rotations and practical scientific work, students will become familiar with the most relevant technologies in both basic and clinical research, enhancing their capabilities in the field of neuroscience. Graduates of the programme will be able to evaluate scientific data and apply appropriate statistical methods. Academic Admission
To be eligible to apply to the MSc Biomedical Neuroscience programme, applicants will be required to have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a natural science field such as biology, biochemistry, molecular medicine, or physics from a university that is rated H+ on the Anabin database. Alternatively, candidates who have completed at least five years of medical studies and have passed the second part of the state examination in medicine or veterinary medicine are also eligible to apply.
APS Certificate
An APS certificate is required for applicants who have completed their qualifying education in India, China, or Vietnam.
