Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences
Program Overview
The Economics and Finance Master’s programme is a consecutive course of studies that expands upon your undergraduate foundation of economics and finance studies. It is designed to consolidate your existing expertise and enhance your knowledge with advanced specialist qualifications in these fields. The programme will impart to you cutting-edge methods, applications and models found in economics, corporate finance, and the analysis of international financial markets. Through experiments in game theory, behavioural economics and finance as well as empirical market analysis, you will develop and learn how to employ a sophisticated research methodology. The curriculum explores not only financial issues but also important economy-wide phenomena. The general aim is to enable students to make the linkages between several economic theories and the decision-making process. You will examine, among other things, the factors that impact competition among firms as well as the financial and overall goods markets. The curriculum highlights the complex relationships between governments, businesses and consumers while maintaining a value-oriented and ethics-based approach. Upon completion of your studies, you will be able to effectively evaluate economic issues in industrial and financial markets on both the national and international scale. The Master’s degree programme is taught entirely in English, allowing you to gain fluency and confidence in the advanced terminology and nomenclature within your field of study. This dimension that is added to your academic and professional profile will help you stand out as a candidate who is an internationally-oriented expert in economics and finance.
