The field of Biomedical Engineering (BME) is dedicated to advancing human health through technological innovation. Its scope includes the research and development of technology-oriented methods, systems, and techniques for early detection, diagnosis, therapy, and rehabilitation. BME is a multidisciplinary field at the intersection of medicine and technology. Recent studies have identified it as one of the top ten technologies set to shape the 21st century.
