The Atmospheric Science study programme is a study of physics with a special focus on the atmosphere. Our programme focuses on research-oriented learning and offers individual specialisations. Atmospheric Science is a degree programme with: fascinating topics: climate, environment, weather methodological diversity – computer simulations, satellites, physical theory great practical applicability – climate change, severe weather warnings, renewable energies study opportunities in all geoscience- and climate-related subjects as an interdisciplinary education direct access to international research on many different topics, which are covered by the multitude of research groups at the Meteorological Institute, the Max Planck Institute for Meteorology and the whole KlimaCampus Hamburg network

Academic Admission

Bachelor's certificate : In case you have not yet finalised your Bachelor's degree or not received your certificate, a transcript of records is required. Your Bachelor's certificate should provide detailed information on courses taken to verify that at least 60 CP are in Natural Sciences, Engineering Sciences or Mathematics. English language certificate (For details, see below.)

APS Certificate

An APS certificate is required for applicants who have completed their qualifying education in India, China, or Vietnam.
